Dar Alouini is an upscale guesthouse located within the walls of Kairouan’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed medina that is ideally located for exploring Islam’s fourth holiest city. Each of the nine luxuriously furnished air-conditioned suites is named after a flower and is unique with décor inspired by Tunisian, Ottoman, and 18th-century French design. Luxurious in-room touches include sitting areas, inlaid furniture, and an ensuite bathroom with a sculpted marble washbasin and walk-in shower. Rooms all lead onto a central courtyard with a lift connecting the floors of the house. One of Dar Alouini’s standout features is a roof terrace offering fine views over Kairouan’s medina.
Additional guest facilities at the property include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and hammam. A rich Tunisian breakfast with home-cooked Tunisian specialities and fresh fruit is served daily.
