Tour Overview

CAIRO • GIZA • ASWAN • NILE CRUISE • KOM OMBO • EDFU • LUXOR

Discover the wonders of ancient Egypt on this weeklong tour combining the Pyramids of Giza with a Nile Cruise. The Pyramids & Nile Cruise holiday is an introductory private tour of Egypt that reveals the splendours of the pharaohs and the beauty of the River Nile.

Using stylish hotels throughout, this well-balanced journey starts in Cairo, where you’ll see the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Sphinx, and the golden treasure of the boy king Tutankhamun in the Egyptian Museum.

After visiting Cairo, your Pyramids and Nile cruise holiday takes you to Aswan, one of the most beautiful locations in Egypt. Here, you can relax by the pool and enjoy breathtaking views of the Sahara tumbling into the Nile. You can also gaze lazily at the lateen sailed feluccas plying the tranquil waters between emerald islands and pink granite boulders.

Board your chosen Nile cruise for a three-night adventure aboard either the upscale M/S Acamar or the luxury all-suite Sonesta Sun Goddess for one of the world’s most scenic and historic river journeys. In between excursions led by your shared on-board Egyptologist to the magnificent pharaonic temples at Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu, you’ll be able to watch the exotic scenery of Upper Egypt glide before your eyes from the sundeck.

The magical crescendo of this Egypt Pyramids & Nile Cruise holiday is reached on arrival in Luxor, where you will walk through the giant colonnades of the great Temple of Karnak and visit the beautifully decorated tombs in the Valley of the Kings.
