Where to visit in November
As many parts of the northern hemisphere move steadily towards winter, the prospect of a November holiday becomes ever more appealing. November is a perfect month for exploring northern India and the Himalaya. A number of vibrant festivals make Bhutan a particularly appealing destination during this month. November is also prime time for exploring the mountains, deserts, and forts of the Sultanate of Oman, as well as discovering the stunning archaeological treasures of Egypt and Tunisia. November marks the close of the season for Jordan and Israel and the start of the visitor season in southwest Sri Lanka. Winter arrives in Saudi Arabia, making it an excellent time to enjoy the more temperate climate.
November is a busy month for festivals, with Rajasthan’s Pushkar Camel Fair and AlUla Ancient Kingdoms Festival in Saudi Arabia being just two of the must-see events. In Bhutan, the Black-Necked Crane Festival in Wangdue Phodrang and Jakar Tshechu in Bumthang are compelling reasons to visit in November.
