Where to visit in October

October is an exciting time to visit Rajasthan and northern India as the edge of the summer heat will have passed, and it is possible to witness several colourful festivals. After the monsoon rains have passed, the skies over the Himalayas are at their clearest. An October holiday is thus perfect for visiting Bhutan, Nepal and Sikkim in North East India.
