Utopia Cave Cappadocia is a boutique-style hotel built into the region’s unique rock formations. Located in the heart of Urgup, this hotel has transformed the ruins of old houses and cave dwellings into spacious rooms and suites that combine traditional cave architecture with modern comforts.

Accommodation is in 77 individually designed rooms and suites designed to provide a glimpse into the lifestyle of the late Byzantines without compromising on essential modern comforts. All rooms are tastefully decorated in a rustic style and furnished using colourful Turkish handwoven rugs and period furniture. The ensuite bathrooms feature a shower over a bathtub, while Junior Suites, Executive and Kings Suites are equipped with a separate shower cubicle and a Jacuzzi. In our opinion, it is worth upgrading to a Junior Suite to enjoy the incredible views from your shared terrace.

At Utopia Cave Cappadocia, traditional Turkish cuisine, as well as Continental cuisine, is served at Yamas, an open-style buffet restaurant, while pre-dinner drinks can be enjoyed at the Galatia Bar, which offers outstanding views of the Cappadocian landscape and the Urgup village from its lively terrace. Leisure facilities include a spa with a small integrated heated indoor pool, Turkish Bath, sauna, steam room, and a fitness centre.

Guests staying at this hotel should be aware that the cave layout of this hotel means that there are many steps to navigate and that cave rooms while being very atmospheric, lack natural light. The village of Urgup, with its shops, cafes and restaurants, is within easy walking distance.
