Kayakapi Premium Caves

Kayakapi Premium Caves is an award-winning boutique hotel overlooking Urgup. It is located within a neighbourhood of the town that was once known as the ‘Landowners district’. This magnificent Cappadocian restoration project has given a new lease of life to the rock-hewn buildings and mansions, including a 10th-century cave church and a mosque dating back to the Seljuk Empire.

Kayakapi Premium Caves has a total of nine spacious accommodation categories. Guest rooms vary in size between 33sqm and 253sqm and are divided into stone rooms that have been fashioned from the former houses of the Kayakapi neighbourhood, as well as atmospheric cave rooms that are bored into the volcanic rock. All accommodation is air-conditioned and decorated in the local style with colourful kilims. Underfloor heating and bathrooms with a bathtub, Jacuzzi or shower underpins the luxurious finish. Higher room categories are larger and may have special views, shared or private terraces, heated indoor or outdoor pools, and upgraded amenities.

Dining at Kayakapi Premium Caves is available at a choice of venues. Maida, the hotel’s main restaurant, is located within the former Davut Agha Mansion, where you can enjoy rich buffet breakfasts and order both international and local dishes from the a la carte menu in the evening. Revithia is Cappadocia’s only tasting menu restaurant where you will find forgotten local dishes with a modern twist. Snacks with a wide range of beverages are available at Bistro Manzara. During the warmer months, Manzara’s terrace is open and has fine views looking over Urgup.

The hotel also has a cosy wine cellar and cigar lounge. Kayakapi Premium Caves offers guests an extensive range of leisure facilities. The seasonal (unheated) outdoor swimming pool has wonderful views overlooking the Cappadocian landscape. The Kayakapi Spa has a traditional Hammam, Sauna, Fitness Centre, and treatment rooms for massages. An easy 12-minute walk will take you into Urgup if you would like to explore the shops and local cafes.
