Tour Overview
COCHIN • MALAYATTOR RESERVE FOREST • KERALA BACKWATERS • MARARI BEACH
The Kerala Family Holiday is a relaxed tropical journey combining fun activities, stunning nature, and beach time on the Indian Ocean. Kerala’s warm, friendly local population and the region’s relatively slow pace of life make it one of the easiest and most rewarding places to travel in India with children.
Begin your Kerala Family Holiday with a stroll through historic Fort Cochin, visiting old European-built churches, the bustling spice market and a sunset cruise around the Cochin Harbour. Then, drive to the picturesque Malayattoor reserve forest and spend three nights at a charming, family-friendly retreat on an island on the Periyar River. Here, try your hand at fishing; combine nature walks through surrounding forests with a canoe ride in search of wild elephants and cool off with a dip in one of the large natural rock pools. Next, proceed to the tranquil backwaters, where you will spend a night on board your own privately chartered traditional houseboat. The cruise will take you through the meandering backwaters to quaint villages, providing an insight into the lifestyles of the local communities.
Conclude your Kerala family holiday with three relaxing days in an idyllic beach-front resort, where you can relax on the beach and watch the kids build sand castles or borrow bicycles and explore the surrounding villages. With an exciting range of fascinating experiences, our Kerala Family Holiday is designed to create a lifetime of memories!
