Traditional Dahabiya with Spacious Cabins

The Nuut Dahabiya is named after the ancient Egyptian goddess of the sky and heavens and offers seven-, four-, and three-night Nile cruises between Esna and Aswan (and vice versa). This comfortable wooden sailing boat should be considered simple in terms of its appointment and has features that resemble a typical 19th-century dahabiya: two large lateen sails, one on the bow and one at the stern.

The dahabiya’s expansive wooden Sundeck, with its comfy chairs, awnings and daybeds, is the perfect vantage point from which to view the riverside villages, ancient sites, and exotic palm-lined banks of the River Nile. This is also where you will find the Nuut’s bar and a large table for al fresco dining. Cuisine on board is inspired by delicious Egyptian recipes and is dished up by the talented resident chef and his team. Below deck, at the front of the Nuut Dahabiya, is the cosy salon with sofas, a large dining table and a television.

Behind this are the simple yet charming, air-conditioned cabins (6 cabins –21 sqm) and suites (2 suites with terrace—25 sqm). All cabins and suites are decorated in an attractive traditional Egyptian style with local rugs and handmade tapestries. They have large panoramic windows as well as a beautifully tiled private bathroom equipped with a shower, washbasin, and WC. In-room amenities include a mini-bar, safety deposit box, and hairdryer. At the end of the wood-panelled central corridor are the two suites with large double beds. Their standout feature is their private terraces, from which you can enjoy panoramic Nile views without ever leaving the privacy of your room.
