An old Dutch colonial villa that has been converted into an elegant boutique hotel, Era Beach, is set amongst tall coconut palms and faces the Indian Ocean. With high ceilings, tall timber columns, courtyards and sun-kissed verandahs, the hotel exudes old-world charm and character and has eight spacious suites spread between two floors.
Elegantly furnished with four-poster beds and modern conveniences, the four suites on the top floor open out onto a balcony offering wonderful sea views, whilst the four suites on the ground floor open to a garden and have a private courtyard.
Adjacent to the mansion, overlooking the pool, are two bungalows that accommodate the restaurant and lounge bar. Leisure facilities at the hotel include an outdoor swimming pool and beautiful tropical gardens. A selection of indoor board games is also available. Era Beach is located a 15-minute drive from the historic city of Galle.
