Dar Sitti Aziza

Dar Sitti Aziza is a 200-year-old Ottoman period merchant’s house lovingly renovated to become Palestine’s first heritage hotel. Located in the heart of Old Bethlehem, just a stone’s throw from the Church of the Nativity, this welcoming family-run guesthouse is full of charm and character.

It features ancient stone flagstones, arched ceilings, courtyards, and exposed stone walls. The design of the front door allows for animals as big as a loaded camel to be able to enter the building! Dar Sitti Aziza has nine spacious rooms, each with a unique name and story. The names range from the Bazaar room to the Olive room, hinting at the rooms’ original usage. All rooms have private bathrooms with showers, simple but comfortable furniture, flat-screen television, Wi-Fi, individually controlled heating and air-conditioning, a mini-fridge and a kettle.

In warmer weather, guests at Dar Sitti Aziza can relax on the guesthouse’s open-air terrace or in the garden. Breakfast is always a lavish affair with a choice of Western and Arabic menus available. The property doesn’t have a restaurant, but several excellent options are within easy walking distance. If you feel peckish, fresh dates and pastries are always available. There is also a coffee bar if you want to have a hot drink or relax with a glass of beer or wine.
