Dar Antonia is a traditional Tunisian courtyard house in Sousse’s UNESCO World Heritage medina converted into a stylish Bed & Breakfast with four guestrooms. On entering the two-story house, the busy medina is left behind, and an oasis of calm greets you. The focal point of Dar Antonia is its lovely tiled courtyard that is complete with a playing fountain where breakfast is served.
Around the quadrangle, you’ll find the property’s four air-conditioned suites. Each suite is individually decorated in a contemporary Tunisian style that combines minimalism with traditional artistic inspiration. The ensuite rooms have a flat-screen television, a sitting area, tea and coffee-making facilities, and complimentary Wi-Fi.
Guests staying at Dar Antonia can also use the small lounge, steam room, library, and a rooftop terrace with sun loungers and views over Sousse.
Staying in the medina is not for everyone, especially if you want to walk around at night, but it has a unique appeal.
Guests should be aware that Dar Antonia doesn’t have a restaurant, but the owner is happy to make local dining recommendations. The guesthouse is within easy walking distance from the beach.
