Experience the magic of the Tunisian Sahara in remote Tembaine
Located overlooking the mountains of Tembaine, amongst the magnificent sands of the Grand Erg Oriental – three hours’ drive from the nearest town – this simple camp is the place to come and disconnect from the world, relax, and discover the magic of the Tunisian desert.
Camp Abdelmoula has 50 canvas tents (non air-conditioned), each with proper beds and comfortable duvets to keep you warm at night. Colourful rugs and atmospheric North African lanterns give the camp a 1001 Nights feel. Royal Tents have an attached w/c, wash basin and shower. Standard tents use a separate ablution block with loos, wash basins and showers with hot and cold running water.
In the evenings, tasty traditional food is served in the camp’s main dining tent, after which you can warm yourselves by a crackling campfire and admire the spectacle of the night sky. Camp Abdelmoula offers a range of desert activities, including desert hiking, quad bikes, and dune buggies (supplements apply).
Guests should be aware that alcohol isn’t available at Camp Abdelmoula (we recommend bringing your own drinks). Also, there is no internet service – your connection here is with the sweeping dunes of the Sahara and the stars in the night sky.
