Lebanon Off the Beaten Track is an immersive, privately guided tour designed for those who enjoy a slower pace of travel and wish to discover a side of Lebanon that visitors rarely experience. This is also a tour that will appeal to the senses. In addition to visiting Lebanon’s acknowledged highlights, it includes a culinary-themed tour in the backstreets of Beirut, a hike through the serene and leafy Qadisha Valley, relaxing by the sea for a day in historic Tyre, an amble through the bustling medieval souqs of Sidon; and the opportunity to admire the stunning view from the rarely visited Crusader castle of Beaufort!
Giving visitors a taste of rural Lebanon is a further point of differentiation of our Lebanon off-the-beaten-track itinerary. Five nights are spent outside Beirut in small hotels, including a charming homestay renowned for its home-cooked cuisine. Dar Alma in Tyre is arguably our favourite rural Lebanese hideaway – a 19th-century historic house with wonderful views overlooking the Mediterranean and its own tiny private beach!
