Vivaana

Vivaana is arguably Shekhawati’s finest converted hotel and is housed within two of the largest havelis (mansions) in the small village of Churi. Dating from the 19th century, the sensitively restored havelis are rich with 200-year-old frescoes, beautiful paintings, jharokhas (balconies), and courtyards – seamlessly combining old-world style with modern conveniences. Accommodation at Vivaana comprises 23 spacious rooms and suites featuring high ceilings, carved pillars, artworks, hand-made oversized beds and modern amenities (no televisions to disturb). No two rooms are of the same size or décor, and whilst some rooms offer views of the inner courtyard, others overlook the village.

Facilities include a multi-cuisine restaurant, tea lounge, bar, library, game room, an outdoor pool and a spa offering Ayurvedic massages. Tucked away from all the hustle and bustle of touristy towns and villages, Vivaana is a convenient base from which to explore the villages of Nawalgarh and Mandawa, as well as enjoy a camel safari through Churi village, which ends with an al fresco dining experience amongst the dunes. Other activities at Vivaana include mountain bike rides (advance notice required), star gazing from a dedicated terrace within the property and cultural evenings.
