Royal Hotel Oran – MGallery Collection

Originally opened in 1920, the Royal Hotel Oran – MGallery has long been one of the city’s best-known hotels. Located beside Place du 1er Novembre, the restored building combines a Haussmannian stone façade with Art Deco details, including wrought-iron balconies and grand arched windows. Inside, the design takes a more Orientalist direction, with antique furniture, decorative details and historic Algerian artwork reflecting Oran’s varied architectural heritage.

The hotel’s 112 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites combine period character with modern comforts. Rich fabrics, polished wood furnishings and carefully selected artworks continue the traditional style, while modern amenities including LCD televisions and Wi-Fi provide the practical comforts expected of a contemporary hotel.

The Royal has two restaurants. Les Ambassadeurs serves French cuisine, while L’Alhambra offers buffet breakfasts and local and international dishes throughout the day. The Le Pacha bar provides an elegant setting for an aperitif.
