Kahani Paradise

Kahani Paradise is a glorious, boutique-style luxury villa that enjoys a dreamy location in the hills of southern Gokarna amidst verdant forests and cliffs with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. This all-suite property is one of India’s best-kept secrets and is set amongst 20 acres of lush gardens filled with tropical flowering plants and an orchard filled with plantain, coconut and betelnut trees.

The stylish Kahani Paradise features a main villa, three outbuildings surrounded by beautiful gardens, a spa and an infinity pool. Accommodation is in six spacious, individually decorated suites with outdoor sitting areas and floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of the lush forests and the sea beyond. All suites feature imposing handcrafted Rajasthani doors and high ceilings that complement the beautiful interiors with traditional Indian artefacts and delicate fabrics.

At Kahani Paradise, delicious local and international cuisines are served at the restaurant, with food predominantly based on locally sourced ingredients, including seafood bought fresh each day from the local fishermen. Although there is a set menu, the chef will be happy to consider guest preferences and will be delighted to prepare something that is not on the menu. Other facilities include an infinity pool, an elegant drawing room to play board games and open-to-air therapy rooms.

Activities on offer include walks to Gokarna’s beautiful Paradise Beach (about a ten-minute walk from Kahani Paradise), exploring the surrounding towns and temples, nature walks through the surrounding forest, and visiting the bustling weekly market (every Thursday). Kahani Paradise is about 3.5 hours from Goa, and the last 15-minute stretch is along a narrow, unpaved, bumpy dirt track. Kahani Paradise has a home away from home atmosphere, and although this is enhanced with luxurious amenities, prospective guests should not compare it with a full-service beach resort.
