Historic hotel with plenty of character
Constructed in 1892 in an ornate Iranian-Georgian style, the Golden Tulip Hotel Borjomi was once the residence of the Persian Consul to Russia, Mirza-Reza Khan and resembles a chocolate-box Russian dacha. One of this Alpine-like spa resort’s historic gems, the Golden Tulip Borjomi is located in the heart of Borjomi and has 17 rooms and suites.
The suites are stunning and decorated in a style true to the original 19th-century Persian/European architectural design.
All rooms have modern decor, ensuite bathrooms, air-conditioning, flat screen television, work desk and Wi-Fi.
Dining is available at either the Garden Café or the beautifully decorated all-day-dining Arfaye restaurant with its Persian plaster mouldings, mirror inlay, and stained glass.
The bar in the flashy marble-floored lobby offers a range of whiskies and Georgian wines. Guests at the Golden Tulip Borjomi also have access to a Persian-style spa with treatment rooms for massages, a Jacuzzi and a sauna.
