Coco Tangalla

Coco Tangalla is an intimate, colonial style villa that enjoys a tranquil ocean front setting in the small town of Tangalle along Sri Lanka’s south coast and offers glorious sea views. With a striking black and white theme, this chic villa offers accommodation in six individually designed rooms that are tastefully furnished by combining modern furniture with antiques, local art and colourful accents. While four rooms are located in the main house, there is an adjoining annexe with two interconnecting rooms that are ideal for families. The living and dining areas sport some classic art-deco style furniture and have an informal feel. At Coco Tangalla, dining is a treat as the experienced Chef prepares an array of mouth-watering delights including traditional Sri Lankan as well as Continental food using freshly sourced ingredients. This delightful villa offers endless opportunities for relaxation. Cool off in the infinity pool or relax in the ambalama (pavilion), which sits alongside the main house and is ideal for lounging whilst taking in the glorious sea views. Swimming from the hotel’s beach is not recommended on account of the strong currents, but there is another beach within walking distance where you can swim. Coco Tangalla is conveniently located to visit the Rekawa turtle sanctuary by moonlight and during the day you can climb up to the summit of the magnificent Mulgirigala cave temple. Although suitable for families, Coco Tangalla’s child policy permits only kids aged 8 years or over.
