Souly Lodge Empty Quarter

Souly Lodge Empty Quarter is set amongst magnificent towering red dunes on the edge of the Ramlat Hashmann and is the first (and only) fixed camp in Oman’s Rub al-Khali about four hours’ drive north of Salalah. While at Souly Lodge Empty Quarter you’ll be able to enjoy the wrap-around desert panoramas, dine al fresco under star studded skies, and take at dip in the sulphur water outdoor swimming-pool. The lodge has four air-conditioned bungalows and ten spacious tents (non a/c). Each bungalow and tent comes with a private sit-out and an ensuite bathroom equipped with W/C, washbasin and shower. The standard of accommodation at Souly Lodge Empty Quarter must be regarded as being basic, but in terms of comfort levels it represents a significant upgrade from wild camping, which is the only other possibility in Oman if you wish to explore the Rub al-Khali. Alcohol is not served.
