La Kasbah Hotel

Located within the historic medieval kasbah (fortress) of Kairouan, La Kasbah Hotel is an newly built property that merges harmoniously into the Arab-Islamic architecture of the city, and is within easy walking distance of its souqs and monuments. La Kasbah’s accommodation consists of 94 spacious ensuite rooms and suites all of which are air-conditioned and have satellite television, minibar, and safety deposit box. The hotel’s interior decoration is typically Tunisian, with colourful geometric tiles covering the walls, bright carpets, Moorish horseshoe arches, and traditional wooden latticed windows. A real feature of La Kasbah is its attractive courtyard swimming pool and tall date palms which are overlooked by the rooms; this is a wonderful place to enjoy a mint tea or relax and read a book following your sightseeing. Dining is offered at a choice of two restaurants: the a la carte Tunisian speciality ‘Sofra’, or the hotel’s buffet restaurant ‘Rakada’.
