Private Mobile Camp

Set up in stunning private locations, our private mobile camp in Old Dongola adds a unique level of comfort to your Sudanese camping experience while also delivering a real sense of adventure.  Each camp is prepared prior to your arrival by a support team and comprises of a large igloo tent (2.40m x2,40m, x1.80m) equipped with camp beds, foam mattresses, sheets and blankets. A small bedside table, towels, hand held torches, loo paper, wash stand, and two folding are also provided. Hearty breakfasts and evening meals are prepared by your camp cook and consist of tasty international and local dishes that are washed down with large quantities of the local spicy or hibiscus tea. Dinning is al fresco on a foldable camping table enabling you to make the most of the wonderful surroundings. A portable shower tent (unheated water) and toilet tent (long drop) complete the camp. It should be noted that there is no electricity at the Old Dongola mobile camp. While the private mobile camp is certainly basic, the wonderful wilderness location along with the limited creature comforts, make a virtue out of the fact that acceptable alternative accommodation is non-existent in the far north of Sudan. The Old Dongola private mobile camp is not for everyone but enables the adventurous to explore a beautiful region of the country that would otherwise remain inaccessible.
