Surrounded by mountains and valleys, Jetwing Warwick Garden is an Edwardian style mansion that was once the home of a Scottish tea planter. Lovingly restored to its former glory, Jetwing Warwick Garden is set amidst a working 30 acre tea estate in Ambewela, 45 minutes from Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka’s central highlands. Each of the individually decorated rooms and suites is elegantly furnished and combines old-world charm with modern comforts. The cosy living room on the ground floor has a grand piano and opens out onto terraced gardens. A separate lounge area is equipped with satellite TV, and DVD player, while a small office room provided for those who wish to use the in-house computer. There is also a library with a good collection of books. Meals at Jetwing Warwick Garden are designed according to the preferences and tastes of guests, and are served in the red dining room under a crystal chandelier. There are no fixed times for meals or set menus. Jetwing Warwick Gardens is an excellent base from which to visit Horton Plains, Hakgala Botanical Gardens and the Seetha Eliya Temple. There are also several trekking routes that explore tea estates and take you through lovely rural villages.
