In the remote and lush rainforests of Wayanad, Tranquil – A Plantation Hideaway is an award-winning homestay nestled deep within a private 400-acre coffee, vanilla and spice plantation. The original 1930’s planter’s residence has been carefully restored and serves as your hosts’ private living quarters as well as the location of the spacious Deluxe Room with striking original woodwork and terracotta floor tiles. A modern ‘annexe’ houses five simply furnished, spacious garden suites that open out on to a shared terrace and offer views of the lush tropical garden. The Suite at Tranquil – A Plantation Hideaway is located next to the outdoor swimming pool and has a separate bedroom and a living room. Furnished Treehouse Suites are also available and offer glorious views over the estate from their private terraces (the larger of the 2-treehouse suites is suitable for families and can accommodate two adults and two children under 12 years of age). At Tranquil – A Plantation Hideaway, delicious home cooked food is served in the dining room. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool. The homestay can also offers guided walks through the plantation, or for the more active guest, a guided trek to Chembara Peak.
