The Lotus Houseboat

The Lotus Houseboat is a stylish traditional ricebarge that cruises through the quiet north Kerala backwaters. Designed by fusing traditional Keralan features with contemporary décor and modern amenities, The Lotus Houseboat offers both private charters and shared cruises and features two spacious bedrooms, a living room, a dining area and an upper sundeck. Each of the two spacious, light, airy bedrooms is air-conditioned and gracefully furnished with solid teak wood floors, hand-carved teakwood furniture, striking traditional murals sourced locally as well as an iPod docking station. The modern ensuite bathrooms are equipped with both shower cubicle and bathtub. Each bedroom opens out on to a private veranda, which is an ideal place from which to relax enjoy the serene backwaters glide past you. Dining on board The Lotus Houseboat is inspired by the regional Keralan cuisine. Meals are taken either in the dining area on the lower deck, or if the weather permits, on the upper deck.
