Taj West End

Located in the heart of Bangalore (Bengaluru), the celebrated Taj West End is a luxurious historic hotel set amongst 20 acres of lush landscaped tropical gardens filled with giant trees. This elegant property began life as a ten bedroom boarding house called Bronson’s West End in 1887. The business quickly grew and took over two adjacent buildings – including one belonging to the elite regiment of Grenadier Guards - whose faded firecracker emblem is still in evidence, but it wasn’t until the early 20th century when the Taj West End acquired the atmosphere of a country club. It was during this period that some of the inherently charming architectural features of the hotel were added including the distinctive gables, dormers, monkey-tops, trelliswork and intricately carved fascia’s. Today, the hotel’s 117 stylish rooms and suites combine elegant design and ambience with luxurious comfort and modern conveniences. A wide range of dining experiences are available at the Taj West End including contemporary Indian cuisine at the Masala Klub restaurant and authentic Vietnamese dishes at the Blue Ginger restaurant. An open-air bar serves exotic cocktails and the finest of wines from around the world.
