Our privately guided Saudi Arabia & Oman tour begins in the Saudi capital Riyadh, where you will contrast gleaming skyscrapers with traditional mudbrick architecture and travel out into the desert to watch sunset from the Edge of the World. Then, visit the Masmak Fortress before flying north to Tabuk in the ancient land of Midian where you will visit the stunning gorge of Wadi Tayyib Al Ism on the Gulf of Aqaba and drive off-road through the red desert and weathered canyons of Wadi Zeeta. More natural beauty awaits at Wadi Al Disah, where the valley is framed by giant columns of rock and palm trees, before arriving at the spectacularly scenic oasis of Al Ula. While in Al Ula you’ll visit Saudi Arabia’s most heralded cultural attraction, the 2,000 year-old tombs of the ‘lost’ city of Hegra (the southern Petra), and hike through an incredible landscape of sandstone monoliths to reach Elephant Rock. Next, explore the abandoned mudbrick Al Deera village and a magnificent ‘hidden’ canyon before driving south to Medina and boarding a regional flight to Muscat where the Saudi Arabia & Oman holiday concludes with four nights at The Chedi, an award winning oases of luxury with its own private beach.
