Jebel Shams Resort

An ideal base from which to access the many superb trekking and outdoor adventure opportunities available in the Jebel Shams region; the Jebel Shams Resort is located high on the mountain and offers wonderfully scenic panoramas. The simple accommodation is attractively set in spacious grounds and comprises a row of fourteen Sunset Chalets, six individual Private Chalets, and fifteen basic tents. The en suite Chalets are all spacious, but sparsely furnished, and equipped with air-conditioning/heating, table and chairs, mini-fridge, and a bathroom with hot and cold running water and shower. Outside each Chalet is a sit-out area and fire-pit. In the evenings staff will bring kindling wood so that you may enjoy a private camp-style fire. The Jebel Shams Resort’s restaurant offers a selection of Arabic and International dishes, while a separate on-site kiosk sells light snacks and serves tea, coffee, and soft drinks throughout the day. Additional facilities include a swimming pool (due for completion in autumn 2012), and mountain bikes. Please note that the Jebel Shams Resort does not hold an alcohol licence.
