Ratan Vilas

Ratan Vilas is a simple yet delightful heritage mansion that enjoys a convenient location on the outskirts of the old city and offers easy access to the imposing Mehrangarh Fort as well as the teeming bazaars. Originally, the private residence of Rajasthan’s legendary Polo player, Maharaj Ratan Singhji of Raoti, the red sandstone mansion dates back to 1920s and still retains many of its original features, while the more recent additions are built in similar style. Accommodation is in 20 simple, spacious individually decorated rooms that feature antique-style furniture and decked with colourful Rajasthani fabrics. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with an en-suite bathroom.  Set in pleasant gardens, this family-run hotel is decorated with old family portraits, memorabilia and does feel more like a home. At Ratan Vilas, delicious home cooked meals are served in the main dining room during the winter months and when weather permits – guests have the choice to dine in the gardens. The hotel also features an inviting outdoor pool, where guests can relax.
