In the heart of the old walled city of Jodhpur, Raas is an inspired creation where four superbly restored traditional 18th century havelis seamlessly fuse with three chic, new, modern buildings created using Jodhpur’s red sandstone to create an extraordinary boutique hotel. Set in the shadows of the mighty Mehrangarh Fort, the Raas is Jodhpur’s first boutique hotel and is an oasis of calm in this bustling city. The hotel offers accommodation in 39, slick, contemporary, minimalist-style rooms and suites with walls made of hand-cut rosy sandstone blocks; floors and beds made of hand-polished terrazzo and balconies featuring unique sliding sandstone shutter screens. While most rooms overlooking Mehrangarh Fort; there are 4 rooms that face the restored havelis and which come with a private walled garden. Dining options at Raas include two stylish restaurants, which between them serve cuisines from around the world and offer glorious views of the fort from their terrace. Private candlelit dinners by the pool can be arranged upon request. The rooftop bar is a superb venue to enjoy pre-dinner drinks and take in the wonderful views of the beautifully-lit Mehrangarh Fort.
