Khas Bagh

Tucked amongst the rugged Aravalli Hills, Khas Bagh is an affordable, heritage-style, delightful farm retreat that is set on the outskirts of Jaipur near Amer Fort. Surrounded by mature gardens filled with frangipani trees, Khas Bagh is beautifully designed in traditional Rajasthani style with open courtyards, exquisitely carved stone pillars, delicate ‘jaalis’ (lattice stone work) and is an excellent base for those who enjoy slow travel and would like to combine a visit to the pink city of Jaipur with rural pursuits for an immersive experience. Accommodation is in 18 spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated with antique furniture and thoughtfully designed with essential modern comforts. All rooms feature modern bathrooms with rain showers as well as a ‘jharokha’ - an old-fashioned, enclosed overhanging balcony that overlooks the lush gardens. Facilities include a restaurant serving tasty home-cooked meals; a cosy, colonial-style Polo Lounge where you can enjoy sundowners and a magnificent sand-stone pool. Activities on offer include horse safaris and guided walking tours as well as bicycle rides through rural villages nearby.
