Lebanon: Off the Beaten Track is an immersive privately guided tour designed for those who enjoy a slower pace of travel and who wish to discover a side of Lebanon that visitors rarely experience. In addition to visiting Lebanon’s acknowledged highlights, it includes a culinary themed tour in the backstreets of Beirut; a hike through to serene and leafy Qadisha Valley; relaxing by the sea for a day in historic Tyre; an amble through the bustling medieval souqs of Sidon; and the opportunity to admire the stunning view from the rarely visited Crusader castle of Beaufort! Giving visitors a taste of rural Lebanon is a further point of differentiation of the Lebanon: Off the Beaten Track itinerary. Five nights are spent outside Beirut in small hotels that include a charming homestay that is renowned for its home-cooked cuisine. Dar Alma in Tyre is arguably our favourite rural Lebanese hideaway – a 19th century historic house with wonderful views overlooking the Mediterranean and its own tiny private beach!
