The walks range from easy to strenuous and will enable you to follow in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia over the red sands of Wadi Rum, cross its natural rock-arches, and take in the jaw-dropping desert panorama from the summit of Jebel Umm Ad Dami – Jordan’s highest peak. Epic desertscapes where films such as the 'Martian' were shot are then combined with the 'biblical' scenery of the Shara mountains and the Jordan Rift Valley where you will hike through the incredible ruins of ancient Petra, a city that is ‘half as old as time’; discover little visited Wadi Farasa; ascend to the tomb of the prophet Aaron on holy Jebel Haroun, and stroll through the astonishing landscapes of Wadi Dana where the shepherds still tend their flocks.
