The Grand Tour of Jordan is a comprehensive fifteen-day chauffeur driven tour that delves beneath the surface and leaves few stones unturned in its quest to reveal the land of Jordan in all her majesty. As this sensibly paced tour unfolds, we’ll introduce Jordan’s most spectacular historic sites while also including time to relax by the Red Sea and Dead Sea. Three nights and two full days are dedicated to exploring the magical ruins of ancient Petra enabling you to go off the beaten track and tease out its many spectacular nooks and crannies. We’ll also visit the amazing Roman ruins of Jerash in addition to a host of other little visited historic gems that span the millennia from the Nabataean, Roman, Byzantine, Umayyad, and Ottoman periods. Balancing the cultural sites on the Grand Tour of Jordan are an array of wildlife experience and sites of great natural beauty that represent a photographer’s dream. You’ll spot migratory birds amongst the brilliant blue lagoons at Azraq oasis, search for some of the rarest mammals in the Middle East in the eastern desert at Shaumari, and strikeout across the magical desert landscape of Wadi Rum where you’ll sleep in a ‘Martian Dome’ under a canopy of a billion stars. It is this varied combination history, wildlife, and natural beauty that makes the Grand Tour of Jordan so memorable and such a rewarding experience.
