On this privately guided long weekend in Tunisia you will be based beside the Mediterranean Sea at either a character hotel in the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, or by the beach at the luxurious Residence Hotel. Sightseeing will include visits to the old walled Arab medina and souqs of Tunis for an authentic immersion into medieval North Africa; to the magnificent Bardo Museum which houses some of the world’s finest Roman mosaics and sculptures; and a walk through the stunning bougainvillea adorned lanes of Sidi Bou Said with its whitewashed Andalusian-Arab style houses. The ruins of ancient Carthage – the birthplace of Hannibal and former capital of an empire than once vied with Rome for supremacy of the ancient world, together with two great inland Roman cities: Bulla Regia; and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dougga, complete the magnificent sites seen on the Short Break in Tunisia.

The Short Break in Tunisia is a private tour. Subject to availability, the programme can operate based on an arrival in Tunis on any day of the week.
