Special family focused activities have been arranged: thus on arrival at pyramids you will enjoy a camel ride; there is also a visit to the wonderful Royal Mummy room at the Egyptian Museum for a face to face encounter with a Pharaoh; an adventurous excursion will take you into the Western Desert to the Valley of the Whales – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – to reveal marvellous Saharan scenery and fossilised Whales; and in Luxor you will enjoy a fun donkey ride to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and a sunset cruise by traditional felucca. An optional dawn hot-air balloon ride over the monuments Luxor’s West Bank is another potential highlight and is always a truly unforgettable event. Rounding the holiday off is time to swim and relax in style by the Red Sea at either the deluxe Kempinski Hotel in Soma Bay or the luxurious Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh.
