A Private Egypt Touring Itinerary

Classic Egypt is a private holiday offering an unhurried journey through the land of the Pharaohs, visiting some of the country’s finest ancient monuments, and enabling you to enjoy the serene scenery of the Nile Valley from the comfort of a deluxe Nile cruise. Accommodation is at some of Egypt’s best hotels and includes the luxurious Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel in Aswan – a former royal palace overlooking the Nile in one of the most beautiful spots in Egypt. The tour starts with two days of privately guided sightseeing in Cairo where you will see the stunning golden treasure of Tutankhamen in the Egyptian Museum; visit the pyramid complexes at Giza, Saqqara, and Dashur; gaze on the famous Sphinx; and explore the bustling medieval lanes of the Khan el Khalili bazaar. On travelling south to Luxor there will be a night to relax by the banks of the Nile before boarding your Nile cruise and sailing down to Aswan exploring the great temples, and tombs of ancient Egypt along the way. Following a day relaxing at the luxurious Moorish-style Old Cataract Hotel return to Cairo via the stunning rock-hewn temples built by Pharaoh Ramses II at Abu Simbel. Private transfers are included throughout, as are private guides for sightseeing in Cairo. Excursions from the Nile cruise and at Abu Simbel are on a shared basis.
